Battery has only a few number of charge cycles and basically it is when you use an off brand charger the battery lowers down on its life. Lifehacker, an online news organization conducted an experiment on both official chargers and off brands. Further results prove that, though local chargers are not as good as the official ones, it works fine, but as a result decrease battery life.
