The prominent models of phones that came during this time are Motorola MicroTac Classic, Motorola International 3200, Motorola m300, Motorola MicroTAC, Nokia 909, Ericsson GH688, Ericsson T10, Nokia 5110, Motorola Timeport and Nokia 3210.
The seam of changes that came are increase in call time, better battery standby, improve in call frequency, phones going light and slim. The significant changes didn’t end there as the course of flip is still on like the 3 x 12 character display, monochrome graphic screen with a 101 x 33 pixel resolution, monochrome display with 5 lines of text and the introduction of WAP browsing on phones on the Motorola Timeport.
By 2000, almost a decade which seen tremendous improvement of technology fit in Mobiles like the Nokia 3210 that came in the year 2000 has downloadable monophonic ringtones and had a 5-line monochromatic display.
